Celebrating Betty McMullan's Retirement
This December, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our longest-serving staff member, Betty McMullan, as she retires after nearly 20 years of remarkable service to our school. Since joining us in 2005, Betty has been an integral part of our community, leaving an indelible mark through her dedication and compassion.
As an SNA, Betty’s work with children with special needs was truly outstanding. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering support have touched the lives of countless students, helping them to thrive and grow with confidence. Betty was deeply committed to continuous learning, always seeking to upskill herself to meet the needs of the children she worked with.
Beyond her classroom work, Betty played a pivotal role in shaping the physical and emotional environment of our school. She helped develop the sensory garden, creating a safe and calming space for students, and she spearheaded fundraising efforts for the school’s polytunnel, a lasting legacy that will benefit our community for years to come. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Betty for generously donating sensory mats, a gesture that has provided even greater support to the children of our school.
We are deeply grateful for Betty’s commitment, her warmth, and her tireless contributions over the years. She will be greatly missed by staff, students, and parents alike. As she begins this new chapter, we wish Betty all the happiness in the world and thank her for everything she has given to our school.
