Youtube can be an excellent resource for home learning if used correctly. Here are some recommended channels:
  • https://www.youtube.com/user/StorylineOnline - This channel features celebrities reading children's books. This can be used in a similar way to how you would do shared reading with your child. • https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1 - The Body Coach himself, Joe Wicks has dedicated videos for children's exercises. He is also posting full P.E. Lessons for children for the next few weeks so be sure to check his channel out.
  • https://www.youtube.com/user/CosmicKidsYoga - Cosmic Kids has a huge range of yoga videos for children in a variety of themes. They also have some excellent mindfulness activities to help calm and refocus them.
  • https://www.youtube.com/user/TEDEducation - Ted-Ed has a huge library of Science, History, Geography and general knowledge based videos. It can be particularly useful for children from 2nd Class and up.
  • https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfPyVJEBD7Di1YYjTdS2v8g While it is based on the American curriculum, many of
  • https://www.youtube.com/user/watchfreeschool - From the solar system to historical figures to Why the Sky is Blue, FreeSchool has the answers to many of children's questions.
  • https://www.youtube.com/user/LittleBabyBum - For Junior and Senior Infants, Little Baby Bum has many great videos for learning their nursery rhymes and in recent days they have begun posting new videos on phonics and number.
